MT RAINIER. 4,392M.
I climbed Mt Rainier in 2009 as part of Summit Climbs free Glacier School.
I’d climbed both Mustagata and Cho Oyu with Summit Climb and had got to know the team. I was offered the chance to work with them, co-leading and helping with some of their other expeditions. It was a great way to improve my all round mountain knowledge and do more trips.
Although, not a high peak, Mt Rainier is a great learning peak and perfect practicing glacier skills. For anyone who hasn’t climbed at all, or has climbed a little bit and is looking to improve this is a perfect trip to get involved with.
Here’s a short video I put together to give an idea of what it was all about.
